Lesley Venable, a self taught mixed media artist and instructor, began The Shoppe at Flatwoods as a way to showcase her one of a kind artistic creations. The work produced in her studio ranges from altered books, canvases and tins to fabric wall hangings, inspirational fabric pockets, assemblage and mixed media jewelry.

Also housed within the virtual walls of her shop you will find beautiful flea market treasures to adorn your studio and home as well as embellishments for your own artistic creations. There are always fun and unique items that will stir your imagination and your muse. The shop is also the home of the Art Husband t-shirt which she and her own art husband, Tom, created in 2009.
